I Dropped Off Items to the Humane Society Yesterday; How About You?

"Linen Closet. Go through your linen closet. This is a perfect time of the year to make donations. Animal shelters especially will take old sheets, towels and blankets. Keep a maximum of 3 sets of sheets per bed (Two is best.) For a guest bed, only one set is really needed. There's no reason to keep extra mattress pads, dust ruffles, etc. One each per bed is plenty." During your purge, tri-fold your towels. It's amazing how much more room there is on your shelf, or in your drawers, when you tri-fold your linens and clothes.

Ok, first I have a certain neighbor/friend that needs to read this post...and Yes myself too. I don't know how my piles in that closet keep growing I swear I don't buy new stuff - The pile I need to trim the most is the SWIM TOWELS. I think I have like 12 of those. I only have 2 sets of sheets per bed, lots of extra towels (but those comes in real handy when a toddler has the flu)

OK...my rambling point...I will purge the linen closet this weekend. How about you neighbor?

I never thought about the Humane Society. My towels could use going through but we are limited on sheets. Really only have one set per bed so when I wash, the bed just stays unmade until they are done... I loved your tip about taking 15 to clean up a pile or organize something. I did it with our coat/jacket/hat racks the other day and it didn't take long at all!
