Today's Quick Tip.

1) Fridge and Pantry. Start out the New Year fresh by cleaning out your fridge and pantry. Be sure to toss or donate (I'm sure EFAA would be soo thankful!) all food that you have not used in the last six months. If you haven't used it in that time frame, you're not going to. Challenge yourself to use all of the food in your freezer that is older than two months old. Get rid of all of your old herbs and spices. Just because your spice rack has a bottle labeled 'Cardamom,' it doesn't mean you need it. (Empty, clean, and relable the bottle with a herb/spice you do use - from Whole Foods bulk herb/spice bins. Much cheaper!)

You're off and running. Wow, I checked out the site when it first got up but haven't been back in a few days. You are on a roll. Good luck, and keep it coming.

Thank you than you thank you! someone (you) has finally given me permission to toss out the stuff in my kitchen cupboards! Older than 6 months?? HA! I have stuff that moved with me from the old house 10 years ago. Those grandma tapes (she was raised in the hills of Kentucky and moved out just in time for the depression) keep running through my head... "Waste not, want not" "Children in China are starving" - TOTAL GUILT My shelves are packed, and I don't even cook. I defy you granny and apologize to all the little children in China -I WILL toss out the 10 year old box of powered sugar and the 12 year old can of cream of onion soup, and everything else I know I will never use. Shelley said I could!

I do this twice a year, unlike dear Becky...I think Becky needs to call 1-800-got-junk and clear out her cupboards!

Thank you for commenting on my blog. I will keep you in mind for boys items for sure. I would love to trade organizing organizing time. Let me know again your sons size and I will keep it in mind.. Also are you interested in toys, scooters those kinds of things? Not sure I have any right now but let me know what you would be interested in. Have a great day!

I've done the whole empty your fridge, freezer and pantry thing and it always feels GREAT to have that fresh start. It was amazing how much I had and how "creative I got trying to use everything (tater tots are a good side for spaghetti right? LOL) I'm do for it again!
